University of Wyoming Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski has completed his staff with the hiring of Heather Ezell as an assistant coach.

Ezell has spent the past four seasons as an assistant at Southeast Missouri State. Prior to that, she was at Fairfield University for one season.

Legerski said in a release from UW, "I am pleased to have Heather join our staff. She will bring a wealth of knowledge, both playing and coaching, to our basketball program."

Ezell state in same release, "I am more than excited to be part of the Cowgirl staff and work under Coach Legerski. He is one of the most respected coaches in the business and has built a successful program that I can't wait to be part of."

Ezell had an outstanding prep career in Missouri. She was named Miss Show Me Basketball as Missouri's top player in 2005. She led her high school team to two state titles and a 113-7 record.

From there, Ezell went to Iowa State, where she was a four-year letterwinner. She finished her career in the top 10 in scoring and tied for the Cyclones' career record in made three-point field goals.

Ezell also played professionally in Iceland and was named the top player in the Iceland Express League in 2009-10.
