Laramie Unappealing From I-80?

One of the most common complains I've heard about Laramie is how unappealing it looks from Interstate 80.

Many tourists don't realize what a tremendous downtown and community we have because they don't get that far into town.  If they do stop, it's just to grab gas or a bite to eat as close to the interstate as possible.

A recent discussion among an out-of-town friend and I this week sparked the idea to write a post and see what Laramie's residents think about it.

Is Laramie really that unappealing from I-80?  If yes, what can be done to entice people to check out our great community and spend money here?
