Five Laramie High School student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent (NLI) Monday to continue their athletic careers in college.

In a ceremony held at LHS, Anna Augustin, Audrey Rivers, Ashlyn Titensor, Samantha Turpen, and Jason Upton gathered with family, friends, and coaches to celebrate their next step.

Augustin is going to dive at the University of Wyoming for head coach Dave Denniston and diving coach Kyle Bogner. She placed seventh at the Class 4A State Championships last November.

Rivers is headed to play college basketball at Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Worthington, MN. The Blue Jays compete in National Junior College Athletic Association. Rivers is a part-time starter for the Laramie Lady Plainsmen and averages 0.3 points and 1.1 rebounds per game during her senior season.

Titensor is head to play volleyball at Casper College for the Thunderbirds. She was a Class 4A East All-Conference selection as voted on by the coaches during her senior season in the fall of 2018.

Turpen will be playing soccer at Black Hills State in Spearfish, SD. Turpen is a three-year starter and letter winner for Laramie High School’s girls’ soccer program. She helped them to the Class 4A State Championship in 2016, a runner-up finish in 2017, and a third-place finish in 2018. She begins her senior season next month.

Upton will be headed to the University of Montana to run track for the Griz. He was an All-State performer in Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field in 2017.
