Laramie Man Charged With Theft Given Probation
A Laramie man charged with felony theft has been given two years of supervised probation in Albany County District Court today.
Brandon Jay Cornejo, 26, was arrested in June 2016 for stealing money from Mister Money pawn shop where he worked as an assistant manager.
Albany County District Judge Tori Kricken said his lack of a criminal history as well as his apparent lack of any drug use informed the court that he is capable of making correct decisions and that the court would like to give him the chance to do so.
Judge Kricken ordered that Cornejo write a letter of apology to Mister Money and pay restitution to the pawn shop in the amount of $1,475 within six months.
