
Laramie Man Arrested for Kidnapping and 4th Degree Sexual Assault
A 34-year-old Laramie man has been arrested and booked on charges of kidnapping and 4th degree sexual assault. Police say the victim is a minor.
According to Laramie Police, the as-yet-unidentified man was arrested on Tuesday, following an investigation of a reported kidnapping in the Laramie area. Wyoming State Statute forbids the releasing of identifying information on a suspect of sexual assault until the case is bound over to district court.
4th Degree Sexual Assault is defined as engaging in sexual contact with a minor at least 4 years younger than the actor, in which the actor holds a position of authority over the victim.
If convicted, kidnapping can carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
A charge of 4th degree sexual assault on a minor can carry a punishment of up to five years in prison.
