A stop of a car due to active warrants led to the discovery of 305 fentanyl pills in Worland recently.

That's according to a post on the Washakie County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page. According to the post, on June 3 sheriff's deputies were looking for a gray Ford Mustang that was believed to be driven by a person with an active arrest warrant.

The vehicle was spotted at the Cenex store in Worland. The deputy saw one person  get out of the vehicle and go into the store. The deputy then saw a second person still sitting in the Mustang, and determined that person was the one with the warrant. A search of the person with the warrant turned up a pen tube with brown residue, according to the post.

While deputies were dealing with the person in the car, the person who had went into the Cenex store slipped out a side door, according to the post. But a Worland Police Officer soon saw that person by Big Horn Redi Mix. It turned out that person also had an active arrest warrant, and both suspects were then taken to the Washakie County Detention Center.

Meanwhile, the sheriff's office asked the Greybull Police Department to bring their K9 unit to search the vehicle. The K9 alerted to drugs around the driver's side door. The car was then taken to the Law Enforcement Center while deputies waited for a judge to approve a search warrant. The search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two blue pills and other suspected illegal drugs as well as other suspected illegal drugs and a digital scale.

But the next day a Cenex employee told deputies that surveillance footage showed that the person who had went into the Cenex store had taken something out of their pockets before entering the shower area. A search of the area turned up 305 fentanyl pills, weighing 33 grams and about a gram of meth. Affidavits  have been forwarded to the Washakie County Attorney's Office, which will decide whether to file charges in the case.

The post does not identify the suspects.

A Navy Museum In Midwest Wyoming

This is not the sort of place you would expect to see a Navy museum. Midwest Wyoming is almost the middle of Wyoming, which is sort of in the middle of nowhere - with no water near by.

So how did a Navy museum end up here?
