What is The Top issue for Wyoming Voters In The 2024 Election?
Wyoming voters will go to the polls on November 5 along with the rest of the country.
In the Cowboy State, voters will be casting ballots on offices ranging from local school boards to President of the United States.

Early voting is already underway, and turnout in Laramie County, for example, has been high.
Which Single Issue Are You Most Concerned About?
So what is on your mind as you vote in 2024?
Most national polls cite the economy as a top issue. It isn't so much about unemployment, which is fairly low, as it is inflation. A lot of folks say their wages are just not keeping up with the cost of living. Groceries are just one example of the dollar not going as far as it used to.
In Wyoming property taxes, especially residential taxes, were the biggest single issue in the 2024 legislative session, and judging from what candidates are talking about this year, they remain a big concern. Voters will also decide the fate of Amendment A, and regardless of how that comes out there is a good chance that the overall topic will come up again in the 2025 legislature.
It's no secret that the energy industries are the backbone of Wyoming's economy. There is more or less of a consensus in Wyoming that the federal government has been attacking traiditional fossil fuels and trying to force electric cars and wind energy on the country. Do you think that is the biggest issue?
How about education? In Cheyenne, for example, there is a lot of concern about staate plans to shut down eight schools in Laramie County School District#1. Then there is the seemingly never-ending battle over school funding across Wyoming.
Gun rights are always a hot-button issue in the Cowboy State. A controversial bill in the 2024 legislative session would have eliminated most gun-free zones in the state (court rooms and private property would be exempt). Governor Gordon vetoed the measure, but it's highly likely to come up again.
Or maybe you are most concerned about crime, including drug trafficking. Fentanyl is literall killing people in Wyoming, as it is across the country. And while meth may not be taking as many lives, it continues to drive local crime rates, especially property crimes.
Or maybe you are concerned about something else entirely?
