Southeast Wyoming Braces For Blast Of Winter Weather This Weekend
According to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service, most of southeast Wyoming faces either a Winter Storm Warning or a Winter Weather Advisory this weekend.
Cheyenne and Laramie could see up to six inches of snow each, with up to 20 inches possible at higher elevations. Blowing snow and poor travel conditions may be seen in many areas as well.

As we await the official word from Punxsutawney Phil, we know there will still at least be winter weather across our area this weekend, especially west of I-25. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for the Snowy, Sierra Madres, and South Laramie Range beginning later today continuing through Saturday as period of moderate to heavy snowfall are expected before the snowfall begins to dissipate after midday Sunday. Additionally, adjacent areas are under a Winter Weather Advisory as 2 to 6 inches of snowfall is possible including near Cheyenne. East of I-25 into the Nebraska Panhandle, rain showers are expected Saturday with fog developing early in the morning. Light snowfall accumulations will be possible Saturday night. Use caution if traveling this weekend and stay up to date with the latest forecast.
