Rain, Snow Expected In SE Wyoming Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Cooler, wetter weather is headed to southeast Wyoming with the workweek starting on Monday.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website:
The next spring storm system arriving tomorrow will bring multiple weather hazards, including strong winds, thunderstorm chances, and high elevation snow. ⛈️ Showers and thunderstorms developing Monday PM, mainly over the High Plains, will have the potential to produce gusty winds and/or hail. A Marginal risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe thunderstorms is in place for Monday. ❄️ Further west, crashing temperatures behind the cold front will allow snow to mix in. Impacts due to accumulating snow are possible in the mountains and in the Laramie Valley. The graphic shows areas with a moderate or high probability of 2+" of snow in orange and red respectively.
Another Front Is Expected On Wednesday
Another warm and sunny day is expected today, but an unsettled week is ahead. The first storm system arrives tomorrow afternoon, and will bring showers, storms, strong winds, and high elevation snow. Another cold front will arrive Wednesday, and bring colder temperatures and chances for rain and snow through the end of the week.
