A Laramie County inmate who was arrested last week after reportedly spitting in a Cheyenne police officer's face is in more hot water.

According to a booking sheet, 26-year-old Cheyenne transient Fabian Manuel Hernandez, who has been in jail since Sept. 19, knowingly threw hot coffee on a jailer on Sept. 23.

"Video surveillance was reviewed and Hernandez was seen filling up his cup with hot water and then less than a minute later the liquid is seen propelled at Deputy Cruz," the booking sheet reads.

Hernandez was mirandized and admitted to throwing coffee at Cruz.

Hernandez was arrested at 12:30 yesterday afternoon, Sept. 27, and subsequently charged with felony injury to a peace officer.

He is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this afternoon, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m.

Wednesday's arrest comes just two days after Hernandez was served a warrant for probation violation on original charges of simple assault, interference with a peace officer, criminal trespass, and possession of methamphetamine.

The warrant was signed by Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee on Sept. 22.
