A Larimer County middle school teacher has been arrested for sexually assaulting a student years ago, and investigators think there may be other victims.

That's according to a post on the Larimer County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

According to the post, in January of this year, a former student at Cache La Poudre Middle School in Laporte [formerly known as Cache La Poudre Junior High School] contacted law enforcement about alleged incidents in which CLP teacher Robert Denise touched him on several occasions.

Dennis, who is 58-years-old, has taught at the school since 1995. The incidents were alleged to have taken place in the early 2000s. Denise has been charged with Sexual Assault On A Child By One In A Position Of Trust (F3).

The post says:

Due to the nature of the charges and the suspect’s job, investigators are concerned that other victims may exist. Anyone with information about unreported inappropriate conduct or abuse involving this suspect is encouraged to contact Investigator Ryan Gebhardt at 970-498-5586. People who wish to remain anonymous may also contact Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868 or www.stopcriminals.org.
