Motorcyclist Hit, Killed on I-90 in Wyoming After Hitting Deer
A man is dead after hitting a deer on his motorcycle and being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 90 northwest of Sheridan, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.
The incident happened around 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at milepost 7.87 near Ranchester.

Initial Collision
According to a fatality crash summary, 39-year-old Jorden Mccullough was riding east in a construction zone with westbound traffic diverted to the eastbound lanes and the lanes separated by construction cones when he hit a deer, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle.
Mccullough reportedly separated from the motorcycle "coming to rest around the center line and partially in the eastbound lane of travel" and "the motorcycle slid to the west and came to rest in the west ditch."
Second Collision
The Patrol says after Mccullough hit the deer, a period of time elapsed before the driver of an eastbound black Kia, who did not see Mccullough in the interstate due to the dark conditions, struck Mccullough, dragging him for a short distance.
The driver of the Kia and their two passengers were not injured in the crash, but Mccullough did not survive his injuries.
Mccullough is the sixth reported pedestrian to be killed on Wyoming's highways this year.
