Traffic Stop in Cheyenne Leads to Stolen Gun, Felony Charge
A 38-year-old Westminster, Colorado woman is facing a felony charge after Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers reportedly found a stolen gun in the trunk of her car during a traffic stop in Cheyenne.

According to a booking sheet, Elizabeth Sue Ann Martinez and her passenger, Sunshine Bradshaw, were pulled over near milepost 11 on Interstate 25 around 8:22 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, after a trooper clocked Martinez driving 87 mph in a 65-mph zone.
The trooper said when he approached Martinez's BMW, he immediately detected the odor of raw and burnt marijuana coming from the car.
Martinez and Bradshaw were ordered out of the car and Mirandized and two troopers were called in to help.
Stolen Gun Found During Traffic Stop in Cheyenne
When the troopers searched Martinez's car, they reportedly found a backpack in the trunk which contained socks that matched the ones Martinez was wearing, makeup -- Martinez was wearing makeup but Bradshaw stated she doesn't wear makeup -- and a pink Glock 43X 9mm with a pink glittery slide.
After running the serial number on the frame of the gun through dispatch, it was discovered that the gun was stolen in a home burglary in Colorado.
The trooper said Martinez, who has a criminal history of theft, including robbery, denied ownership of the gun and told him that it possibly belonged to one of her sons.
Colorado Woman Charged With Felony Theft After Caught Speeding in Cheyenne
Martinez was arrested and charged with felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
She appeared in Laramie County Circuit Court on Friday afternoon, during which her bond was set at $5,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 1 at 11 a.m.
