Cheyenne Man Gets 10 Years in Federal Prison for Drug Trafficking

A 38-year-old Cheyenne man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, the United States Attorney's Office announced Monday.

According to a booking sheet, Christopher Isgrigg was arrested on March 11, 2024, after police stopped him for failing to make a complete stop at a blinking red stop light at the intersection of Nationway and Logan Avenue.

Traffic Stop Leads to Meth, Fentanyl

Officer Johnston and his K-9 partner Pavel were called to the scene, and Pavel alerted on Isgrigg's car.

Isgrigg reportedly admitted to having narcotics in the car, and officers found approximately 600 grams (1.32 pounds) of methamphetamine and 34.2 grams of suspected fentanyl pills.

The case was later turned over to the Cheyenne Police Department's Community Action Team for investigation.

Isgrigg was indicted on May 16, pleaded guilty on July 2, and U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin imposed the sentence on Sept. 19.

Isgrigg will be subject to five years of supervised release once he's released from prison.
