One of Laramie County’s ‘Most Wanted’ Captured After Being Tased
Another fugitive on the Laramie County Sheriff's Office's "Most Wanted" list has been captured.
According to a booking sheet, Sheriff's Cpl. Martinez was driving by the corner of West Wallick Road and Avenue B-2 at about 1:55 p.m. on Monday when a Hispanic female signaled toward an address in a very fast motion.
Martinez says a Hispanic male, later identified as 34-year-old Cheyenne transient Isaac Michael Romero, took off running.
Another female reportedly pointed toward her porch, and Martinez found Romero crouched in the corner and commanded him to show his hands.
Romero reportedly ignored Martinez's commands and took off running again, which resulted in him being tased.
Romero was handcuffed and his information ran through dispatch, which showed he had a warrant out of Laramie County District Court for failure to comply.
Wanted Cheyenne Transient Caught With Meth, Fentanyl
Martinez says Romero also had suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl on him.
Romero was treated at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and later taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without issue.
As of Tuesday afternoon, he had yet to be formally charged.
