Two wanted women are behind bars after leading authorities on a wild chase near Cheyenne Wednesday evening.

According to Laramie County Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Warner, it all started at about 5:13 p.m., after deputies were called to a report of a white Ford F-250 stolen from the 800 block of South Greeley Highway.

Warner says witnesses believed a single occupant, later identified as 25-year-old Laramie resident Mandy Miller, had stolen the pickup.

Deputies Track Down Stolen Pickup

"Utilizing location tracking within the vehicle, deputies tracked the vehicle to the vicinity of Horse Creek Road and Interstate 25," Warner said in a news release. "Upon locating the vehicle, deputies initiated contact and the driver attempted to evade them."

Warner says the driver, later identified as 24-year-old Colorado Springs, Colorado resident Tianna Jasmine Quin, continued into the Scenic Ridge Drive area, where the pickup suffered a rear tire blowout, forcing her to come to a stop.

"Quin ran towards a residence," said Warner. "Deputies believed that if Quin made it to the residence, she may commit additional crimes."

Deputy's Patrol Vehicle Stolen

"As deputies pursued Quin, Miller, who had been concealed in the F-250, gained access to one of the deputies' patrol vehicles due to a safety feature malfunction, which is still being investigated," Warner added.

Warner says Miller then fled the scene in the stolen patrol vehicle and followed an area resident to a home in the 1500 block of Scenic Ridge Drive.

Resident's Car Stolen at Gunpoint

"Upon contacting the resident, Miller displayed a firearm, which had been taken from the deputy's vehicle," said Warner. "Miller demanded the keys to the resident's car. The resident complied, fearing for her safety."

Warner says the Sheriff’s Office, alongside the Wyoming Highway Patrol, disseminated information regarding the stolen car, and it was quickly located at the intersection of Iron Mountain Road and Wind Dancer Road.

"Miller attempted to flee and spike strips were deployed by Wyoming Highway Patrol disabling the vehicle," said Warner.

Warner says Miller and Quin were apprehended without further incident.

Charges Pending

"Miller was booked on charges of DUI/controlled substance, and a warrant out of Albany County for possession of controlled substance with additional charges of vehicle theft, aggravated robbery, fleeing/eluding as well as a host of other offenses pending," said Warner.

"Quin was booked on a warrant out of Larimer County for vehicle theft and has multiple additional charges pending," he added.

Warner says the stolen vehicles have been recovered and the deputy's firearm was successfully retrieved.
