The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is forecasting a wintry Thanksgiving with snow continuing into Friday and possibly leading to impacts on travelers.

The agency posted the following on its website:

''Travel conditions leading up to Thanksgiving are looking good, but we could see some gusty winds Wednesday afternoon especially near Bordeaux. Snow showers return Thursday afternoon and continue through Friday with accumulating snow likely. Accumulating snow Thursday into Friday could impact travel conditions late this week. Temperatures on Thanksgiving will be colder than recent days with several locations struggling to get out of the 30s. Check back a little later this week for snow totals across the region as well as potential travel impacts.''
