Cheyenne Resident Holds Alleged Burglar Down Until Police Arrive
A 38-year-old Cheyenne man has been charged in connection with a weekend burglary.
According to a booking sheet, police were called to a larceny at 3108 Arrowhead Rd. at 9:13 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, and arrived to find Ryan Clifford Johnson being held down by Jacob Vega.
Police say Johnson went into Vega's truck and took a Geneva watch and the garage door opener, then went into the garage and began looking through Vega's personal belongings before being stopped by Vega.
Johnson was arrested and subsequently charged with burglary, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Johnson made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Tuesday morning, during which his bond was set at $2,000 at 10% and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for next Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m.
