The final 2025 Cheyenne Frontier Days Pancake Breakfast was held on Friday at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza.

Breakfast chair Denise Newell of the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club says things started a little slowly on Friday, but picked up later for a final count of 6,003 served. That followed a county of 7,093 on Wednesday and 4,493 on Monday for a total count of 17, 539 breakfasts for the week.

''We Are A Well-Oiled Machine''

Breakfast chair is a one-year position, which means Newell is done with the job with the conclusion of Friday's breakfast. When asked what she takes away from the experience, she said "First and foremost, we are a well-oiled machine. As a chair, really, you are just trouble shooting. I've always enjoyed being down here for the pancake breakfasts, and it was fun."

The fact that it went so smoothly is good news in terms of the more serious role of the breakfasts, which is to serve as a drill for feeding large numbers of people in an emergency situation/
