Cheyenne Man Charged With Felony Drug Possession
A 35-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony drug charge after police reportedly found fentanyl in his pocket.
According to a booking sheet, police responded to a drug use call at 3901 E. Pershing Blvd. around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5.
Police contacted Charles Michael Carsten, who reportedly interfered with officers when he was ordered out of his vehicle.
Police say Carsten had 9.8 grams of fentanyl in his front right pocket.
Carsten was subsequently arrested and charged with felony possession of fentanyl and interference with a peace officer.
He's currently being held in the Laramie County Detention Center on a $3,000 cash bond awaiting an Aug. 16 preliminary hearing.
