Cheyenne, Laramie Tie/Break October High Temperature Records
The calendar may say it's October, but tempretaures in southeast Wyoming on Wednesday were more typical of July.
In fact, Cheyenne, Laramie and Rawlins also set high temperature records for the date, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.
The agency posted the following on its website:
Cheyenne and Laramie tied or broke recorda for the entire month of October:
7PM 10/2 - Another day, another round of record highs as the stubborn warm and dry weather pattern continues!
In addition to daily record highs, Cheyenne tied the October monthly record high of 85F, first set on 10/9/1910. Laramie broke the October monthly record high of 79F on 10/1/2011, reaching 81F. Rawlins and Scottsbluff tied daily record highs, reaching 79F and 91F respectively.
