A 46-year-old school district paraprofessional has been arrested for alleged multiple assaults on a kindergarten student with disabilities.

And police say they think the man may have assaulted other students.

That's according to a post on the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook page.

According to the post, the investigation started when officials with the Poudre School District contacted police with concerns about a paraprofessional who rides district school buses.

School district resource officers launched an investigation on the allegations.

According to the post, officers saw surveillance videos which showed the paraprofessional, Tyler Zanella, hitting the student on several occasions.

According to the post, Zanella was arrested yesterday on May 24:

"3 Counts of 18-6.5-103(3)(c) Crimes Against At-Risk Juvenile – 3rd Degree Assault – Class 6 Felony

The post goes on to say:
Officers have reason to believe that there may be additional victims. Anyone with information regarding this case or other cases involving Zanella is asked to contact Officer Dexter Rowe at (970) 472 3705.
