It's the purrfect place for animal lovers to settle down with a cup of coffee and a kitty cat. The first modern cat cafe opened in Taiwan in 1998 and soon spread to Japan. The establishments offer patrons a relaxing atmosphere and the cozy company of felines.

Cheyenne's feline-friendly cafe, Catz N Coffee Connections, offers such an atmosphere to its visitors while achieving a charitable mission - helping felines needing extra socialization or TLC to grow more comfortable with people so they can eventually find their furever home. Catz N Coffee Connections works with shelters across the Cowboy State, giving the shelters' long-term residents a home comfortable until they get adopted.

My mother will tell you that there's nothing better than spending an afternoon or morning sipping coffee with a cat purring on your lap. If you've never experienced such blissful serenity, you should definitely swing by Catz N Coffee Connections to give it a try.

Catz N Coffee Connections Grand Opening

Catz N Coffee Connections opens tomorrow, April 1, at 10 a.m. at 615 W 20th Street, Cheyenne, WY 82001.

The cafe's hours are 10 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Monday - the establishment is closed on Tuesdays.

The cafe serves beverages and snacks to patrons and offers wifi. The cafe recommends booking appointments, as the cafe can only accept a small number of visitors at a time to prevent overwhelming the cats. Appointments cost $14 per person. You can schedule an appointment by clicking here.

Why Does Catz N Coffee Charge an Admission Fee?

The admission fee at Catz N Coffee helps cover the costs of caring for the cafe's feline occupants. Your admission fee pays for the cats' food, beds, A/C, vet visits, treats, etc.
