I've been suffering severe withdrawals since Barnes and Noble left Cheyenne. While Cheyenne has some excellent used book shops in town, we don't have an honest-to-goodness bookstore in the Capital City right now.

I know, it's a shame.

But GOOD NEWS has arrived. Barnes and Noble just updated its Facebook page with the update we've all been dying to hear - YES, B&N will reopen in Cheyenne. But when?

When Will Barnes and Noble Reopen in Cheyenne, Wyoming?

According to the Facebook post, the Barnes and Noble Cheyenne location plans to reopen on an unspecified date this summer (2023). I can confirm that employees at the Fort Collins location have heard similar information (based on my chat with a checkout employee from today.) So, hallelujah, it's looking like we'll have a bookstore in time to start my summer reading list!

Any guesses on what month they plan to reopen their doors? My guess is before Frontier Days, but remember, B&N also said they'd reopen in September of 2022, and that didn't happen. So fingers crossed that plans go smoothly for the store this go around!

Where Will the New Barnes and Noble Open in Cheyenne?

The jury's out on where Cheyenne's new Barnes and Noble location will be. With all the new construction cropping up on Dell Range and many vacant buildings behind the mall area, I bet the new B&N won't be too far from the old location. But who knows, maybe they'll choose to set up shop off Lincolnway. What do you think?

Where is the Closest Barnes and Noble to Cheyenne?

The closest Barnes and Noble from Cheyenne is in Fort Collins, Colorado. It's about an hour's drive for anyone who needs a trip to B&N before the new location opens up in Cheyenne.
