Today's cars are made from much lighter materials than Grandpa's car was.

That's why it's easy for a Yellowstone bison to make short work out of them.

A couple visiting Yellowstone will have to explain to their insurance agent that a bison just casually walked up and SHREDDED their vehicle.

From the TouronsOfYellowstone page.

This time the tourist were actually doing what they were supposed to be doing, staying in their car.

But maybe not far enough.

The beast suddenly turned and did damage in one swipe, including a popped tire.

The National Park Service (NPS) asks visitors to always stay at least 25 yards (23 meters) from bison and elk.

Recently a visitor taunting an elk had his tire punctured.

Looks like these animals will not put up with anyone's CRAP!

Get a load of this from Yahoo News:

Bison are responsible for more injuries than any other animal at the park. Although they may resemble domestic cattle, they are unpredictable and can run three times faster than humans.

I guess people who have never been out in nature need to be told this.

Just keep a distance, even if you are in a car.

That car you're driving was designed to handle a crash, not the horn of a bison.

Last summer, three people were gored by bison at Yellowstone within the space of a week, including a woman in her 20s who was thrown 10 meters in the air and suffered a serious puncture wound. Following the incidents, Park Rangers released a poster warning visitors not to pet the 'fluffy cows' – a lighthearted campaign with a serious message behind it. (Yahoo News).
