WATCH: Colorado Man Cleverly Removes Bear From His Car

Imagine hearing a car horn honking at night and not realizing that it is your car. Then, you go outside in the morning and find that it was a bear honking your horn.

Did you know that bears have figured out how to open car doors? Yeah, that's a thing they learned.

A Colorado resident in Gold Hill found the bear in his car early in the morning. Bears will go into cars looking for food or maybe even shelter from the weather. The problem is that they don't always know how to get back out.

In situations like this, a person needs to be innovative. A man from Colorado recently used a long rope tied to the car's door handle, the man safely opened the door from a distance. As soon as the door was open, he ran one way as the bear leaped out of the car and ran in the opposite direction.

Bears have opened car doors in Yellowstone National Park.

It was bad enough when we had that one bear that was "smarter than the average bear." But now we have more bears that are smarter, on average.

Visiting Yellowstone? There are signs that warn people to keep the windows rolled up and lock the doors.
