PhotoFest! NC/KW vs. RS/GR Softball
The softball season is underway so when the weather cooperates, it's time to get out there and play. Rock Springs and Green River made the trip to Casper over the weekend for a pair of doubleheaders at Crossroads Park and it's live and learn this early in the season.
On Friday, Green River and Kelly Walsh split a doubleheader with GR winning the opener 17-14. Izzy Kelley had 5 hits and 3 RBIs for the Wolves with Chacee Shiner contributing 4 hits and 3 runs batted in. Ryleigh Sisco led Kelly Walsh with 2 hits and 3 RBIs. In the nightcap, the Trojans earned a split a 12-4 win as Sisco drove in 2 with a couple of hits. Terryn Avery, Ally White, and Jocelyn Shantz all had hits for Green River in this contest.
Natrona tangled with Rock Springs on Friday as RS won the first game 9-5. Tarin Anderson had a big game for the RS with 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Natrona had 5 players with 2 hits apiece. In the nightcap of this doubleheader, NC posted an 11-0 win as Quincie Sale had 3 hits and 3 runs batted for the Fillies. Peyton Soltis had a couple of hits for the Tigers.
Then on Saturday, Natrona met Green River for a pair of games. In the first game, NC prevailed 17-7 as Morgan Gokey drove in 4 runs with 3 hits and Elsie Sale had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Kodi Allred had a nice game at the plate for the Wolves with 3 hits and 3 RBIs. In the 2nd game, Natrona pounded out an 18-2 win as Quincie Sale had 3 hits, including a home, and drove in 5. Allred homered in this game for Green River.
Kelly Walsh played Rock Springs twice on Saturday with Rock Springs sweeping the doubleheader. Rilynn Wester homered and 4 hits for the Tigers in Game 1 with Tarin Anderson driving in 3 runs with 2 hits in that 13-9 win. KW got 3 hits from Ryleigh Sisco. and in game 2, Rock Springs pulled out an 8-5 win with Hadlee Miller driving in 2 runs. Sisco led KW's attack at the plate with 3 hits and an RBI.
