Kelly Walsh played host to Laramie in Casper on Friday in a test of two teams that lost their 4A football season openers. KW opened the scoring in the first quarter thanks to a 14-yard touchdown connection from Carter Alvar to Kaecen Paden to put the Trojans in front 7-0.

Kelly Walsh had a big 2nd quarter as Alvar threw his 2nd TD pass of the game, this time going to Brant Blocker that covered 29 yards to bump the lead to 14. The Trojan defense had a solid game as Landon Walker scooped up a fumble and rumbled 42 yards to the end zone, so it was 21-0.

Ethan Hague added a 3rd quarter touchdown run from 12 yards out and added a 4th quarter score on a 6-yard run. Laramie found the end zone late in the game on a 4-yard run from Evan Crum and Max Alexander had a 24-yard TD catch. But Kelly Walsh prevailed 34-14 so they're 1-1 with a home game against Cheyenne South this week.

Laramie is 0-2 and will play Cheyenne Central on Friday. Check out some great photos from the Kelly Walsh-Laramie game, compliments of Liz Masterson. They can be found in our gallery below. Enjoy!
