Three days of action for indoor track are part of Week 3 in the 2024 season. The largest track meet will be in Laramie on Friday. That’s after Gillette holds a triangular on Thursday. Some schools are heading to either Idaho or Utah for competition this weekend. Other schools are off this weekend and using it to continue their training. The state championships are only five weeks away.

This is the schedule for Week 3 of indoor track. Schedules are subject to change.

WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL INDOOR TRACK SCHEDULE: JAN. 25-27, 2024

Thursday, Jan. 25:

Thunder Basin Triangular at the Campbell County Recreation Fieldhouse in Gillette: Field Events start at 10 a.m. & Track Events start at 11 a.m. and are on a rolling schedule.

Teams Attending: Campbell County, Sheridan, Thunder Basin.

Girls Team Scores = Thunder Basin 183, Sheridan 170, Campbell County 158.

Boys Team Scores = Sheridan 268.50, Thunder Basin 117, Campbell County 107.50.

Campbell County won Aubry Dewine won the 200 meters and long jump for the girls.

Landrum Wiley of Sheridan won the 1600 meters and pole vault. Thunder Basin's Nolan Hottell won the high jump and triple jump.

Friday, Jan. 26:

307 Invitational at War Memorial Fieldhouse in Laramie: Field Events start at 9 a.m. & Track Events start at 9:30 a.m. (no 3200 meters)

Teams Attending: Burns/Pine Bluffs, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Douglas, Kelly Walsh, Lander, Laramie, Natrona County, Rawlins, Riverton, Torrington, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy.

No team scores were kept.

Kaiden Lee of NC was the only 2 individual event winner = high jump and long jump.

Weber State Indoor Invitational (HS) at Weber State Univ. in Ogden, UT: Field Events only at 4 p.m.

Teams Attending: Evanston, Green River, Rock Springs.

Lillian Allison of Green River won the girls' shot put at 38-04 and added a 3rd in the weight throw. Talia Conrad from Evanston was 3rd in the girls' long jump.

Saturday, Jan. 27:

Stacy Dragila HS Open at Idaho State Univ. in Pocatello, ID: Field Events start at 9 a.m.; Track Events start at 9:30 a.m. & are on a rolling schedule

Teams Attending: Jackson, Mountain View, Pinedale, Star Valley.

Star Valley's Valerie Jirak won the 400 meters at 57.77 (only one under 1 minute) and the high jump at 5-7.  Mountain View's Jaylee Antonino won the 60-meter hurdles at 9.33 seconds. Pinedale's Madison Antonino took 2nd in the 1-mile race.

Habtamu Wetzel won the 800 meters at 2:00.29. Maddix Holmes of Rock Springs won the pole vault at 15-01.

Mountain View won the 4x400 meter relay.

Star Valley swept the 4x200 meter relays in both genders.

Weber State Indoor Invitational at Weber State Univ. in Ogden, UT: Track Events only at 9 a.m.

Teams Attending: Evanston, Green River, Rock Springs, Star Valley.

Evanston was 2nd and Rock Springs 3rd in the girls' 4x400 meter relay. Evanston was 3rd and Rock Springs 4th in the 4x800 meter relay. 

Evanston boys won the 4x400 meter relay at 3:44.23. Rock Springs placed 3rd in that relay. Rock Springs' Braden Killpack placed 4th in the 400 meters. Evanston's Gabe Hutchison took 5th place in the 55-meter dash & 6th in the 200 meters.
