The Laramie Plainsmen are back at home for the second straight week in the 2025 high school football season, as they host the Kelly Walsh Trojans at Deti Stadium. The kick-off is at 6 p.m. Both teams are looking for their first win of the year. This one starts a key three-game stretch for the Plainsmen if they hope to climb the standings in Class 4A football.

LARAMIE PLAINSMEN FOOTBALL GAME PREVIEW VS. KELLY WALSH

Laramie was blown out at home in their season opener last week by No. 2 Cheyenne East, 55-0. The Plainsmen had only 101 yards of total offense and the game’s only turnover, which led to a scoring drive by the Thunderbirds. Defensively, LHS allowed 459 yards to East, which included 259 yards and 5 TDs through the air.

Plainsmen head coach Jake Chick says they can’t make one game their whole season. He knows they must put last week behind them, says this week’s prep for Kelly Walsh is tough because of their unique offense, discusses some personnel to watch for the Trojans, and knows his squad also needs to find confidence to make plays on offense.
