Friday Night Test: Plainsmen Battle Camels Under the Gillette Lights [VIDEO]
It’s back on the road for the second time this season, as the Laramie Plainsmen trek to Gillette to face the No. 3 Campbell County Camels. This game starts a stretch where LHS will face three of the top-five teams over its last five games of the regular season. Laramie will be looking to stop a four-game losing streak against the Camels and pick up their first win in Gillette since 2017. The game starts at 6 p.m. at Camel Stadium.
LARAMIE AT CAMPBELL COUNTY FOOTBALL GAME PREVIEW 2025
The Plainsmen are coming off their second victory of the 2025 season last Friday night at home over Rock Springs, 23-7. Boone Frude had two key TD runs of 57 and 80 yards in the second half that broke open a close game. He finished with 141 yards rushing. LHS ran for 199 yards as a team. They come in at 2-2 on the season. Laramie enters this game averaging 239 yards and 13.2 points per game. QB Dax Parvin in the No. 4 passer in Class 4A at 125.8 yards per game. He has four TD passes and only one interception. Frude is now No. 9 in rushing at 52.8 yards per game. He’s averaging 10.6 yards per carry. Isaac Kirsch is No. 6 in receiving with 13 catches for 202 yards and 3 TDs. Tyler Gale anchors the defense and is No. 1 in 4A at 20.8 defensive points per game. He registered 38 points in the win over Rock Springs last week.

Scouting the Opposition
The Camels are 4-0 this year. They come off a 20-17 victory over Natrona County. Trailing 17-3 at halftime, Campbell County scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to get the win. They moved up to No. 3 in the rankings this week. Coulter Lang is their QB. He leads the team and Class 4A in rushing at 90.5 yards per game. He adds 123.2 yards per game through the air with 7 TD passes and only two interceptions. Ethan Mastellar has 10 receptions for 232 yards and two TDs. Defensively, Treyten Sukut anchors the Camels and averages 13.2 defensive points per game, which is No. 5 in 4A. The Camels are averaging 296 yards and 23.2 points per game. They allow only 253 yards and 10.3 points per game. Campbell County has the No. 1 pass defense in 4A and surrenders only 86 yards per game.
Series History
Campbell County has four straight wins in the series. The last Plainsmen victory was in 2020, 35-22, in Laramie. The Camels hold a 26-21 lead in the all-time series. Tonight will be the 48th meeting in the football series.
