When I type the phrase, The best part of wakin' up...., you automatically think Folgers coffee, right?

What you probably should be thinking, is seeing the Wyoming sunrise with a cup of coffee in your hand.

Unless it's a cloudy morning, which we've seen plenty of this year, the sunrise in Wyoming is one of the best you'll see. One of my favorite places to watch the sunrise is on the water at Glendo State Park.

There's just something about waking up early in the morning an watching the world wake up. The whole state of Wyoming changes when it goes from dark to light and really light to dark, too. I can remember driving from the east when the sun was setting and having to stop and take a picture of the sunset, thinking it couldn't get much better than that.

Then you see a sunrise and it's just as great.

Something I've never done is set a camera up and actually capture the world waking up. I've seen a bunch of people on social media doing it and found one that shows the sun rising in Medicine Bow National forest with the Snowy Range as the background. It's incredible to watch.
