Wyoming Shows Big Love For The NFL MVP

People say they knew Josh Allen would be a huge football star when he played at the University of Wyoming.

Did those people really know this while he was playing in Wyoming, or did they start saying it after he was drafted into the NFL?

According to the NFL, only 7.3% of high school football players play in college, and only 1.6% make it to the NFL. When Josh didn't get any scholarship opportunities out of high school, it didn't seem like he would be in that small percentage. 

Now, he's the NFL MVP, and I bet Hollywood is already talking about the movie they will make about his life and career.

Josh Allen: From Laramie To The MVP

A small-town boy from a farming community in Central California plays football at a junior college because no school wants him. Then, the only D1 school offering him a chance to play was Wyoming.

After arriving in Laramie, heads started to turn. After a great career at 7220, he was drafted 7th overall, and off to the NFL he went. Once there, he became a dominant force, breaking the records of players in the Hall of Fame and becoming the NFL MVP.

He's an MVP not only on the field but also off it. He's responsible for raising millions of dollars for the Patricia Allen Pediatric Recovery Wing and Fund at John R. Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo, which he visits often.

If he can eventually lead the Buffalo Bills to a Super Bowl win, the movie will undoubtedly be made, and Wyoming will play a significant role. Wyoming is the only school that took a chance on him, guided him into the league, and helped mold him into the MVP.

Like a proud parent, UW wanted the world to know how proud they were of him, so just days after his MVP award, they ran a commercial during the Super Bowl to express their pride.

The whole state of Wyoming is proud that Josh Allen was, and still is, a University of Wyoming Cowboy.
