LAS VEGAS -- The Wyoming Cowboy basketball season is less than one month away, as Wyoming will face Northern New Mexico in the Arena-Auditorium in the season opener on Nov. 7 with an exhibition game coming against Metro State on Oct. 27.

Head coach Jeff Linder along with guard Brendan Wenzel and forward Caden Powell are representing the Cowboys at Mountain West Media Days at Resorts World in Las Vegas on Thursday.

The Cowboys will be on the Mountain West Network live show at Noon on Thursday, as the 20-minute segment can be watch by visiting the link here.

The conference also released the preseason poll for the 2023-24 season. The Pokes were picked to finish tenth in the conference. San Diego State, defending national runner-up was picked to win the conference. Boise State was slotted second with New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado State rounding out the top-five.
