LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowboys hit the road once again for a Tuesday contest, this time heading to Las Vegas to take on UNLV at 9 p.m. in a matchup televised on CBS Sports Network. Wyoming won the last meeting against the Runnin’ Rebels inside the Thomas & Mack Center in the quarterfinals of the MW Tournament last season.

The contest on CBS Sports network will feature Jordan Kent on the call with Avery Johnson as the analyst.

Fans can listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelley will have the call with Kevin McKinney on color.

About The Teams

The Pokes head into the contest with a 6-13 overall record and a 1-6 record in conference play after earning a 58-57 win over Colorado State on Saturday afternoon. The Pokes are shooting 45.4 percent from the field this season with opponents shooting 45.8 percent.

Wyoming has done a good job taking care of the basketball this season with 11.4 turnovers per game ,which ranks fourth in the MW and No. 74 in the nation. Wyoming records only 14.4 fouls per game for the season, as that number ranks first in the conference and No. 29 in the nation.

UNLV is fresh off a road loss at Fresno State and has a 12-7 overall record to go along with a 1-6 mark in conference play. The Runnin’ Rebels average 75.9 points per game on 44.4 percent field-goal percentage, which includes 34.3 percent from beyond the three-point arc.

UNLV’s foes score 68.3 points per contest on 42.9 percent accuracy, 34.8 percent from deep.

About The Players

The Pokes are led this season by guard Noah Reynolds at 15.1 points per game. He ranks eighth in the conference in scoring. He is shooting 50 percent from the field this season for fourth in the MW. Hunter Maldonado adds 13 points per game this season with 4.2 rebounds per game and 3.4 assists for 12th in the conference.

Ethan Anderson adds 8.3 points per game this season with 3.2 assists. Hunter Thompson adds 7.1 points per game and leads the team with 5.3 rebounds per night.

UNLV is led by EJ Harkless. The Oklahoma transfer stuffs the stat sheet with 16.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Keshon Gilbert adds 12.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and a team-high 3.8 assists per contest. Luis Rodriguez chips in 12.1 points and a team-best 5.9 rebounds per game.

About The Series

UNLV leads the all-time series with Wyoming, 42-20. The Runnin’ Rebels have enjoyed a tremendous amount of success at home, winning 27 of the 30 matchups on their home floor. Wyoming, however, took the last meeting, 59-56, during the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Conference Tournament.
