Josh Allen Says the NFL Got This Wrong
The Buffalo Bills were back at practice on Wednesday, and it was a big day for the team.
Von Miller was back at practice during team drills -- the first time he has practiced in full pads since before his knee injury last Thanksgiving. Miller said on his podcast this week that he expects and wants to play in London on Sunday, but head coach Sean McDermott said they will take it one day at a time.
The Bills have 21 days to put him on the active roster.
The Bills are 3-1 heading into this game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, playing at a very high level. They beat the previously unbeaten Miami Dolphins by 28 points and currently sit atop the AFC East, with the largest point differential in the league.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen won the AFC offensive player of the week. He threw for four touchdown passes and rushed for another in the 48-point effort. It made complete sense to give him the award...however, Allen disagrees.
When speaking to the media after practice, Allen said that wide receiver Stefon Diggs deserved to win the award this week. Diggs caught three of Allen's four touchdown passes, in one of Diggs' best games as a Bills player.
The only other game that might match what he did on Sunday was back in 2020, when he caught three touchdowns against the New England Patriots.
The Bills have not played in London since the 2015 NFL season, so this will be a new experience for everyone on the roster. The Bills will have to prepare and be disciplined off the field over the next three days, as they adjust to the England clock time and get accustomed to a different environment.
Kickoff is 9:30 am here in Buffalo on Sunday.
