Inmate Hospitalized After Hurting Himself in Green River Courtroom
A man remains under observation after trying to harm himself in a southwest Wyoming courtroom and being rushed to the hospital.
The man's name has not been released. Detective Dick Blust, spokesman for the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office, said in a press release that the man tried to harm himself while in the courtroom of District Court Judge Nena James.
Detention officers secured the inmate, who was then taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.
The man's unspecified injuries were treated, and the man remains under observation. The inmate's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
