Herndon Is Out Indefinitely For The Cowboys
The inside depth for the Wyoming Cowboys took a hit on Monday.
Head coach Larry Shyatt announced that red-shirt Freshman forward Alan Herndon is out indefinitely with mononucleosis.
Herndon has been the Cowboys sixth man lately. He's averaging 2.9 points and 2.6 rebounds in 16 minutes of action per game. Herndon is shooting 41.5 percent from the field.
He played a career-high 32 minutes in the first meeting against Colorado State last month. The Cowboys face the Rams for the second time tomorrow night.
This means the only reserve interior player for the Pokes is Freshman center Jonathan Barnes behind starters Larry Nance Jr. and Derek Cooke Jr. Barnes has played in only eight games this season.
Wyoming takes on Colorado State Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Arena Auditorium.
