CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Heavy spring runoff is washing out rural roads in western Wyoming.

Hudson Atlantic City Road is washed out about 10 miles south of Hudson in Fremont County. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management says people should avoid using the road for the rest of this week.

The BLM plans to reopen the road after temporary repairs. Even then, the washed-out area will remain difficult to cross until a permanent fix.

Burma Road also is washed out about 15 miles east of Big Piney in Sublette County.

BLM officials say other dirt roads throughout the region are muddy. Forecasters expect heavy runoff from deep snows in the Wind River Range and other Wyoming mountain ranges.
