The National Weather Service office in Cheyenne has issued a hazardous weather statement for Albany County today.

The storm could produce 1-3 inches of snow in Laramie and will be accompanied with strong winds and potentially hazardous driving conditions.

SOUTH CENTRAL WYOMING AND SOUTHEAST WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SNOW WILL SPREAD ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHEAST WYOMING FROM WEST TO EAST
THIS MORNING. SNOW WILL SHIFT SOUTH THROUGH THE AFTERNOON WITH
SNOW ENDING ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA BY EARLY THIS EVENING. OUTSIDE
OF THE MOUNTAINS SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE MINIMAL WITH MUCH SNOW
MELTING AS IT HITS THE GROUND. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN
EFFECT FOR THE SNOWY AND SIERRA MADRE RANGES UNTIL MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT FOR 5 TO 9 INCHES OF SNOW.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

PERIODS OF STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR THE WIND PRONE
PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST WYOMING FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH
MONDAY NIGHT.

ANOTHER PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE ROCKIES TUESDAY
BRINGING WITH IT THE POTENTIAL FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW TO SOUTHEAST
WYOMING.
