The French band Quatuor Ebéne, also known as the Ebéne Quartet, will perform Sunday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Fine Arts concert hall. This is the fourth performance in UW’s 2012-13 Cultural Programs Series.

Tickets cost $20 for the public and $17 for senior citizens and students. Tickets are available at the Fine Arts and Wyoming Union box offices, and by calling (307) 766-6666.

Originally from Paris, Quatuor Ebéne has been described by the New York Times as “a classical string quartet that can easily morph into a jazz band.”

UW Cultural Programs Director Cedric Reverand says, “Ebéne plays both classical music and jazz, and is best described as another Turtle Island String Quartet, except the musicians drink Bordeaux rather than beer, and they play in French.”

UW Cultural Programs sponsors this event. For more information, visit their website and click on the “Quatuor Ebéne” tab, or call (307) 766-5139.
