The family of a 16-year-old Cheyenne girl who was fatally shot Monday night while riding in a vehicle on Dell Range Boulevard near Frontier Mall is asking everyone to focus on her, not the young men charged with her death.

"We are tired of this being about the 2 boys who took Angelina’s life and tired of that being what we see and hear about," Angelina's mom, Amanda Harrison, posted on Facebook Wednesday morning.

"We want not only what we see and hear about, but what everyone else sees and hears about is her, Angelina Marie," she added.

I can’t even begin to come up with the words to say right now so I will say what little I can and save the long post for another time.
We have gone back and forth about posting anything but we felt we needed to for multiple reasons and I post this on behalf of myself, David and Donivon.
We are tired of this being about the 2 boys who took Angelina’s life and tired of that being what we see and hear about. We want not only what we see and hear about, but what everyone else sees and hears about is her, Angelina Marie.
Words can’t even begin to describe what she means to us or how much she is loved. There are no words right now to describe every single amazing thing about her and how wonderful she is.
So now let Angelina be what you see, what you hear about, what you remember. Share her pictures, memories, every single thing about her life. Post them, talk about them.
We want people to know that it was our daughter and sister that was taken from us and not just some nameless person. 16 years will never be enough time to have had you here.
We also want to say thank you to all of our family and friends for supporting us, loving us and being here.
And a special thank you to all of her friends for showing up last night and showing us how much she was loved by you all. ❤️
And anyone who want to share this is free to do so.

To accomplish that, Angelina's family is asking people to post pictures and memories of her and talk about them.

"We want people to know that it was our daughter and sister that was taken from us and not just some nameless person," said Harrison.
