Additional Information

Join us on Friday, June 21 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m as we celebrate the longest day of the year—a much enjoyed time after the long winters of Wyoming.

Every year on this special zenith, a beam of sunlight illuminates a silver dollar in the center of the Art Museum's Rotunda Gallery at exactly 12 o’clock, noon.

Come watch the light, and then join free make and take summer and solar themed art-making activities in the Shelton and Museum Studios. Enjoy live music from Americana banjo duo The Littlest Birds. We'll also have a smoothie bike available for visitors to make delicious smoothies with their own leg power as well as solar telescopes led by Laramie Astronomical Society and Space Observers (LASSO) members on the Art Museum terrace.

All activities will end at 1:30 p.m.

FREE and open to the public.
