Additional Information

Relative Theatrics presents a revival of THE SANTALAND DIARIES by David Sedaris, adapted for the stage by Joe Mantello December 7-10, 2016. The production is directed by Producing Artistic Director Anne Mason and features local actor Ryan Archibald and is supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. THE SANTALAND DIARIES is back by popular demand and is the holiday special in Relative Theatrics’ fourth season, The Undisclosed Season. There are only 50 tickets per show and we sold out last year so get your tickets early!
Nationally acclaimed humorist David Sedaris’ story based on his own experiences, THE SANTALAND DIARIES tells the tale of an out-of-work actor who finds a holiday job as an elf at Macy’s in New York City. “This delightfully tart tale takes a wry look at how the holiday season brings out the best – and the worst – in us all.” (American Shakespeare Center) "A sardonic, merrily subversive tale—just the antidote to bright-eyed joy before too many shopping days have passed. Worth more than a photo album full of Santas!" (NY Newsday) "A delightfully thorny account of working as a Yuletide elf at Macy's. Priceless observations, both outrageous and subtle. Destined to hold a place in the annals of American humor writing." (NY Times). The play contains adult themes and language.
Audience members are invited to stay after the show and have a drink with Crumpet the Elf and chat with the artistic team.
THE SANTALAND DIARIES will be on the stage at the Laramie Plains Civic Center (LPCC) Gryphon Theatre Wednesday, December 7th through Saturday, December 10th at 7:30pm.
