Additional Information

Comedian Jenny Zigrino with special guest Jasmine Ellis will be performing on Monday, October 14 at 8:00 p.m. in the Arts and Sciences Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

“Jenny Zigrino is a comedian that packs a punch of truly original humor. She made her late-night standup debut on Conan O'Brien and keeps going back for a total of three appearances. She’s been a guest on the hit shows Midnight, MTV's Girl Code, Adam Ruins Everything and featured on TBS, Oxygen, TruTV, Fox, and more. She created, wrote and starred in the Comedy Central digital series Bad Ass Bitches of History showcasing badass babes through time. A rising star in Hollywood, her first film appearance was a leading role in 50 Shades of Black with Marlon Wayans and went on to star opposite Billy Bob Thornton in Bad Santa 2” (Jenny Zigrino Bio).

“Jasmine Ellis’s standup has been described as ‘energetic’ and ‘joyfully neurotic’. After hosting local radio shows in college and interviewing comedians, she decided to try it herself in 2013 and hasn't looked back. Jasmine had performed in Las Vegas, New York, and LA, and earned spots on several festivals, including Moon Tower Comedy Festival, Bird City, Out of Bounds Fest in Austin, and Blue Whale Comedy in Tulsa. She's performed in comedy clubs, colleges, and good old fashioned dive bars across her native Texas. In 2017 she landed a coveted spot on the 3rd season of PBS Documentary-series "Stand Up Empire" which profiles Austin's top up and coming comedians” (Jasmine Ellis Bio).

The 7220 Entertainment Club Events Committee will be hosting the homecoming comedians and meets on Mondays at 5:00 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center (Union 012) during the school year.
