Laramie Main Street Alliance and the University of Wyoming invite you to the Downtown Mash Up! This year it will be taking place at the Train Depot and surrounding area on Friday, September 27th from 7-11:30PM. Take part in a variety of activities and games, eat delicious food, dance to live music, meet representatives from UW Student Organizations, and receive exclusive swag from our sponsors.
Before the main event, make sure to stop by the last Laramie Farmer's Market of the year, which runs from 3-7PM at the parking lot north of Depot Park. If you're a UW Student, get there early and stop by the UniWyo Federal Credit Union tent – they will be giving away $10 Farmer's Market Tokens to the first 100 students with a valid student ID! (Tokens may only be used that afternoon/evening at the market.)
Our featured bands this year are both from Laramie – The Locals - Laramie and The Woodpile (Presented by Premier Bone and Joint Centers). Other entertainment will include MC’s from the local improv troop This Just In the UW Cheer Squad, wagon rides with UW College of Agriculture and Natural Resources’ team of draft horses Pistol & Pete, and a bouncy house for the younger attendees!
UWYO Transit & Parking Services buses will transport UW students to and from downtown Friday, with buses running between 6-8PM and 10PM-Midnight. Bus stop locations are TBD.
In the week leading up to the Downtown Mash-Up as well as during the start of the event, a scavenger hunt will take participants around the community and to a number of downtown businesses. The winning team will receive a $500 cash prize, a $100 gift card to the University Store and more, and will be announced near the end of the event at 10:30PM. More information on this year’s scavenger hunt will be available on UW’s main Facebook page (University of Wyoming) as the event draws closer.
