The public is invited to a Laramie Women Firsts commemorative marker dedication hosted by The Jacques Laramie Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Saturday, September 25, 3 pm, at the Wyoming Women’s History House, 317 S 2nd St. The chapter is presenting a marker recognizing Laramie Women historic firsts, including the first woman voter, first woman bailiff and first women jurors. This dedication represents a continuation of commemorative marker placements in Albany County by the chapter, with the first marker placed in 1911. Five markers were eventually placed in the county and the chapter is pleased to continue this tradition with a sixth.
