LARAMIE – Kids of all ages enjoyed the 3rd Annual Easter Eggstravaganza, held Palm Sunday, April 14, at the Edgewood Spring Wind Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility in Laramie.

The community event featured age categorized egg hunts, games, and prizes.

Kaitlyn Reed-Mercer, the Health Unit Coordinator at Edgewood, said the event attracts more youngsters every year.

“This one has doubled in size from last year. We see that every time we do a community event. They just keep getting bigger,” said Mercer.

Kids 1 and under got a whole section of hidden eggs to themselves and enjoyed opening the plastic eggs in search of special prizes inside.

“The residents really enjoy seeing all the kiddos running around and having fun. They really take part in all that we do, especially with the community,” said Taylor Powell, Life Enrichment Director.

“It’s a lot of fun, and everybody enjoys doing it.”

Other events shared with the Laramie community include Safe Trick or Treats at Halloween, and an Alzheimer’s fundraiser, coming up June 29 at The Alibi Pub in Laramie.

Ready – Set – Go! For kids 6 and over, the whole yard in front of the Edgewood Spring Wind facility was full of “hidden” eggs. The community event attracted nearly 200 families.
