There are 67 truck stops in the great state of Wyoming. Most of them aren't known for "fine dining", but there is an old-school, mom-and-pop diner off Interstate 25 in Douglas that's earned a reputation as the best in the Cowboy State.

The Broken Wheel Restaurant was recently named the best truck stop diner in Wyoming by Love Food. The Broken Wheel is known for hearty breakfast options including the 3 Lil Pigs omelet, their Outlaw breakfast sandwich, and their Trucker's Choice biscuits and gravy with cajun sausage. Their lunch and dinner menu features stick to your ribs classics like meatloaf, chicken fried steak, and their brown-sugar crusted Bacon Bourbon Steak.

The Broken Wheel has been around since 1955 and is currently owned by Whitaker Oil, which also operates the Outpost Cafe in Lusk along with truck stops in Casper, Lusk, and Loveland, Colo.

The Love Food list also includes another popular place off I-25 that's near and dear to many Wyoming residents. Johnson's Corner was named the best truck stop restaurant in Colorado. The retro diner in Johnstown has been serving their famous cinnamon rolls since 1952.
