One of college football's oldest rivalries will take place Friday when the CSU Rams make the short trip north to Laramie to face the Wyoming Cowboys in the 111th Border War, and Wyoming and Colorado law enforcement agencies will be teaming up to sideline impaired drivers.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeremy Beck says law enforcement will be out in force on U.S. 287 and Interstates 25 and 80 before, during and after the game -- which kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

"One-third of Wyoming's fatalities this year are directly related to impaired driving," said Col. Kebin Haller of the Wyoming Highway Patrol. "Make the right decision and designate a sober driver or use a ride-share."

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is also urging drivers to help keep the Cowboy State's roadways safe by calling the Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately (REDDI) hotline number at 1-800-442-9090 to report suspected drunk drivers.

Callers should be prepared to provide the dispatcher with a description of the vehicle, its location and the direction of travel.
